Our first Electric For All consumer awareness campaign was launched in 2018 during a time when EV policies and initiatives were controversial and new. As Veloz worked to bridge the political divide, we tapped a famous republican to be the face of our second campaign. The next education and awareness effort faced global pandemic and lockdown issues, and the following campaign launched at a time of policy support and excitement. Today, our latest Electric For All education campaign started rolling well before the recent federal-level rollbacks on clean car policies.
These policy rollbacks drive us to continue our work. The message was clear before, and it’s clear now: EVs are here to stay.
The current campaign’s tagline is The Way Forward is Electric. Much like our first campaign, it’s nimble and designed to weather changes in leadership and politics and fill in the gaps left by federal EV policy changes. With a $43.5 million sponsorship from Electrify America and support from Veloz’s 40+ members, the new campaign is providing the tools, resources, and trusted information that can help consumers across the country make smart decisions about going electric.
Consumer interest in EVs remains strong, even as national policy shifts. Our most recent market report shows that demand continues. In fact, U.S. EV sales jumped more than 10% in the first quarter of 2025. Nearly half of non-EV owners say they’re considering making the switch in the next five years. These numbers tell us that interest in electrification doesn’t depend on politics — it’s driven by consumers looking for a superior ride.
Our campaign work, backed by data that confirms consumer interest, is made possible because of how Veloz operates at its core. We convene leaders from across industries, government agencies, utilities, automakers, charging providers, rideshare companies, advocacy groups, and nonprofits. Together, they help shape our education programs, ensuring the information consumers see is accurate, relevant, and aligned with real-world market conditions. We bring everyone to the table to work together with the same goal in mind: 100% transportation electrification.
We are not operating and educating in a vacuum. There is still a lot happening to advance electrification at the local and state levels. Programs like the ones below, which are already driving progress in tangible ways, can be replicated just about anywhere.
-
State ZEV Leadership – On August 19, the state of California released a report on ways that it can continue to increase ZEV adoption, recommending actions in six key areas to expand clean transportation and protect public health.
- EV Purchase Incentives – New Jersey offers up to $4,250 rebate for eligible EV buyers, while Colorado provides up to $5,000 in state tax credits for new EV purchases.
- Renter and Public Charging Programs – Oregon’s Community Charging Rebates Program funds EV chargers in multifamily housing, while New York’s Charge Ready NY program installs charging in apartment complexes.
- Shared Clean Mobility Programs – Los Angeles’ BlueLA car share program and Sacramento’s Our Community CarShare give low-income residents access to affordable electric mobility options. More programs are being supported by the state’s Clean Mobility Options program.
- EV Fleet Adoption – The City of Madison, WI, has an official sustainability goal to cut carbon pollution that includes shifting to EVs, and Maine’s Central Fleet Management Division aims to hit 100% EV cars by 2030.
The policy support for EVs may ebb and flow, but the EV momentum is here to stay. At Veloz, we are more determined than ever to keep that momentum going. We’re gathering experts, telling real stories, building tools, and staying the course — because consumer demand, urban programs, fleet electrification, and local leadership will continue driving progress forward.
As long as drivers want cleaner, more affordable, and more reliable transportation, Electric For All will help consumers find the facts, the tools, and the incentives they need to make the switch.
