In addition, the governor’s order calls for reduction in vehicle miles traveled and the phase-out of fossil fuels, while accelerating refueling and charging station options for electric vehicles. Further, 100% of on-road medium- and heavy-duty vehicles will be zero-emissions by 2045.

“The push to fully electrify transportation in California and beyond has just been given a significant boost from Governor Newsom. Veloz stands ready to support this milestone action that captures our electric for all vision. The devastation from the recent wildfires and resulting poor air quality, along with COVID-19 impacts, underscores the need to accelerate our zero-emissions goal and plot an economic recovery that is smarter, greener and more equitable.”
