PEVC Report: Accessibility and Signage for Plug-In Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure

This report recommends accessibility standards for charging infrastructure installed as part of the new construction of facilities, and also standards for installations at existing facilities. The recommened standards distinguish between charging that is publicly available and charging that is restricted in access (e.g. residential). The report also recommends standardized general purpose signs to identify charging stations and direct users to the stations, and regulatory signs to designate the permissible uses of the charging facilities and to prohibit certain uses where necessary. All regulatory signs must be supported by appropriate rules, ordinances or policies.
