Tessa Sanchez is the Head of Sustainability Policy at Uber, leading global policy initiatives to expand access to electric transportation and advance the company’s commitment to an all-electric future. Her work focuses on building partnerships with governments, NGOs, and industry to make EV adoption and charging infrastructure more accessible worldwide. Before joining Uber, she spent nearly five years at Tesla, developing EV charging and clean energy policy across the U.S. and Canada. Earlier, she worked at the San Francisco Department of the Environment on the City’s EV Roadmap and charging infrastructure planning. She holds a B.A. in Environmental Analysis and Policy from Boston University and lives in Oakland with her husband, 2-year-old son, and one very ornery cat.
