Mike Delaney is the Vice President of Utility Partnerships & Innovation at Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E). In this role, Delaney is responsible for strategy and delivery of programs and technologies that accelerate California’s clean energy transition at the lowest overall cost to customers. Delaney oversees the company’s energy efficiency, demand response, clean energy transportation and distributed energy resource programs. He is also responsible for non-tariffed product and business development, as well as PG&E’s research & development activities, and cultivating partnerships with external innovators to develop and scale the next generation of customer-centric energy solutions.

Delaney joined PG&E in 2023, and brings extensive strategic experience and deep industry expertise, having previously served a combined 17 years at Consumers Energy and DTE Energy in Michigan in roles covering corporate strategy, venture capital, policy, and regulatory affairs. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Physics and a Master of Public Policy from the University of Michigan. He also holds a Master of Science in Nuclear Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
