Michael Brune, the Sierra Clubā€™s executive director since 2010, is one of todayā€™s most inspiring and effective environmental leaders. Prior to joining the Sierra Club, Brune led Rainforest Action Network. Under Bruneā€™s leadership, the Sierra Club has grown to approximately 3 million supporters and is at the forefront of the drive to move beyond fossil fuels to 100% clean, renewable energy, while also protecting Americaā€™s remaining wild places. A nationally recognized writer, speaker, and commentator on energy and environmental issues, Brune is the author of Coming Clean: Breaking Americaā€™s Addiction to Oil and Coal (2010). He holds degrees in economics and finance from West Chester University in Pennsylvania.
