Megha Lakhchaura was appointed by Governor J.B. Pritzker as Illinois’ State Electric Vehicle Officer in July 2022. In this role, she works across state agencies, public entities, and industry partners to develop and implement a comprehensive electric vehicle adoption strategy for Illinois. Under the Governor’s leadership, Illinois has experienced remarkable growth in electric vehicle registrations and a rapid expansion of charging infrastructure statewide.
